Every child has a different comfort level with swallowing pills and we encourage you to talk to your child’s doctor before doing so. Most children ages 6 and up can learn to swallow small capsules with practice. If your child has difficulty, the capsule can be opened and the contents mixed into a small amount of food or a room-temperature beverage — a flavorful option like a smoothie works well, since it helps mask the taste of some of the ingredients. Avoid hot liquids.
